….three days ago!
I hope you guys had a relaxing day (maybe two) off from work and that you got to enjoy some time with your loved ones. Thanksgiving was a good day for me — I love watching the Macy’s parade every year (i still get a little giddy when Santa shows up) and the dog show that always follows.
I did manage to get to the gym in the afternoon before it was time for Thanksgiving dinner. I warmed up on the elliptical (ugh, i can’t wait to get back to running) and then did a quick circuit:
10 – 1
Squat + Wall Balls
In the off-chance that you don’t know, the way this workout goes is you complete 10 of each exercise, then 9 of each, then 8 etc etc, working your way down to 1 of each.
I wanted a workout that was going to be quick yet still leave me feeling like I had accomplished something. Wall Balls and Kettlebell Swings are not only some of my favorite exercises to do, they always leave me out of breath and sweaty when I’m done.
The rest of the day was spent between my bosses house and my parents house with lots of food to go around!
I did manage to eat past the point of comfort and I spent the rest of the evening beating myself up over it. But, what’s done is done right? Can’t go back. Can’t change it so why let it ruin me? I guess I can only chalk it up to the fact that I am a continual work in progress (we are all aren’t we) if we had it all figured out, what would we have to work towards and strive for?
Okay, enough musings for today!
I worked much of the morning yesterday and did some cardio after I was done. That evening, my Mom, sister, and I went to see The Nutcracker. I may have mentioned this last year, but I have such a big place in my heart for The Nutcracker and I look forward to it every year around the holidays. I performed in The Nutcracker for many, many years growing up so it has always been a part of my holiday tradition.
I got myself signed up for a ReebokONE profile. I am still working on my profile and figuring out what it all means but, if you get the chance, go check it out.
