Sleep is Good!

May 1, 2013

Remember last night when I signed off around 8:30pm, half-joking about tucking myself in for the night?  Apparently I wasn’t joking because the last thing I remember seeing before I shut my eyes for the night was the clock reading 8:45pm.

It would appear that I was seriously needing to catch up on some sleep!

Thank goodness for those 9 hours of sleep because I woke up feeling much more alert and ready to tackle the day.

Workout — May 1, 2013

There are some weeks where I shower more often at the gym than I do at home and believe you me, I would much rather be showering in my own shower, not messing with travel sized shampoos, and trying desperately not to touch the nasty shower walls.  I woke up this morning and really didn’t want to throw everything into my gym bag and rush out the door.  I wanted, possibly needed, to spend the morning at home.

Granted, I still needed to get a workout done so I threw together this at-home circuit workout which I did while watching the news and spending time with my Joe and my Sadie.  This workout was all about the burpees and it didn’t take long before I was a sweaty mess.  Here you go:

If you do the math, you realize that this workout is complete with 110 push up burpees — ooohh, just the thought makes my chest and arms burn!  This workout took me a little longer than I would have liked but I spent a lot of time dodging Joe and Sadie as they wrestled in the living room.

Sadie was in rare form this morning — usually, she will wake up with me, get fed, go outside, and then wander back to bed (lucky dog).  This morning, however, she woke up ready to play!  She threw her bones all over the house, tore around the back yard doing her tail-tucked “rage run” (as we are known to call it), and attacked me with licks while I was in the middle of a burpee!  I finally had to hand her over to Joe so that he could try and wear her out.

Just another day in this household!
