It’s (finally) beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
We were down to the wire.
It was zero hour.
Do or die.
It is December 24th — Christmas Eve — and we just got our tree decorated! We are a little behind the 8 ball this year but we still got it done:
I wish the picture was better — it is so beautiful with the over head lights off and the lights of the tree glowing.
I had hoped that we would have gotten a chance to decorate the house and the tree several days ago but it is just a busy time, as I am sure you well know. I am happy with how everything turned out, though.
After some early morning errands, I made it to the gym around 11am. The place was packed! I am guessing that many people had the day off and they used that opportunity to get their sweat on. Go them!! I hopped on the treadmill and ran 4 miles in 35:25. When I was done with the 4 miles, I hopped onto the step mill and climbed my way to no where for 15 minutes. I just figured an extra 15 minutes of cardio couldn’t hurt, especially this time of year.
I know that I have been a little more lenient in the treats that I have been partaking in. I am making sure that my meals are healthy and well balanced and that I am drinking plenty of water so at the very least, I am filling myself with good foods.
I spent the rest of the day trying to finish the gifts that I am making as well as getting everything wrapped and labeled. Not to mention, I have been enjoying the A Christmas Story marathon that shows on TBS every year. It is a personal tradition of mine that I force on to everyone else around me. I can’t help it, I love this movie!!
Every year at this time I can’t believe that Christmas is already here. I am excited because I love this holiday and the people that I share it with, but I also tend to reflect on the year that was and the year that has yet to come. So many memories, so many unknowns. It is always a thought provoking time of year.
With that, my pals, I am off to finish a few more crafty items and then it is off to bed for me. I don’t want to risk Santa passing my house because I was still awake — that would be terrible!!
Merry Christmas to all of you, may you find comfort and love during this holiday.
