Dinner 9/13/2012

As I mentioned yesterday, dinner last night was salmon (yum!), red potatoes and squash.  Joe and I both got a little distracted on episodes of The Office that we were getting caught up on and sort of ignored the food that was cooking.  The salmon got a little charred to the pan and the squash got a little crispy on top.

Instead of butter, I topped my potato with a little parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.  Though well done, dinner was still fabulous.

Not so fabulous was scraping the blackened and desiccated salmon skin from the bottom of the pan this morning:

Lame.

Woke up to more rain today.  yipee.

Workout 9/14/2012

I decided I wanted to stay in for my workout today so I did some searching on a few of my typical sites and I found two circuits that were easy to complete at home:

I was a little surprised at how sore I was this morning after yesterdays workout so I am glad that got in a decent, full body workout to deal with some of the soreness.

So tell me this, why does this happen every time I begin a workout in the living room:

Sadie rarely plops down in the middle of the living room to nap — she has two (yes two) beds that she sleeps on all the time except when I am trying to get a workout in at home.  I think she knows that she is in my way and loves seeing me inconvenienced.

She’s too smart for her own good!

Crafty

Every year I donate some handmade jewelry and other crafty items for  a non-profit that is very near and dear to my heart.  This year I made a handful of bracelets for their silent auction:

They aren’t anything all that spectacular but I still enjoy making them and donating them to such a great cause.  And, not gonna lie — I like when people are in a bidding war over items that I have made with my own two hands!!!

We’ve got another busy weekend ahead of us.  Joe will be helping out with Habitat for Humanity for most of the day tomorrow so it looks like I will be on my own at the gym in the morning.  I think I will still swing by Great Harvest for a sandwich, though!  Then we get to get all gussied up for the fundraiser and hopefully win some great items.

Sunday night will find me at a friends bachelorette/bridal shower complete with a zombie theme — thank goodness it won’t be your typical shower-ooh-and-ah-over-gifts-and-play-ridiculous-games type of event.  I admit I am not such a fan of those.
