With all the horrendous weather we have been having lately, I haven’t made it out for a run in quite some time. I have seen other people out there running, braving the weather and I was sort of jealous.
Yes, as ridiculous as it may sound, I get jealous when I see people running outdoors when I haven’t been for a while.
Does that ever happen to you?
I decided to remedy the problem with a quick 3 mile run this morning.
Oh man, it really was cold out there (for perspective though, I am such a wimp when it comes to the cold) but I quickly warmed up.
I completed 3 miles in 27:18. So not my fastest time, but all in all it was really a nice run.
It was great to be outdoors — the air was cool and smelled clean. I am hoping that I get a few more runs in before it starts to snow.
Here is my after run snack.
Well, more like a second breakfast.
I heated up 1 packet of instant oatmeal and topped it with a little bit of rhubarb/raspberry syrup, 1/2 of a banana, a few raspberries and some rice milk. It was so good! Why I don’t have this more often is a mystery.
